Working in Partnership with Businesses to Keep Staff Fit and Well

In the UK currently, 31 million working days are lost due to musculoskeletal conditions, and the average wait to see an NHS Physiotherapist is twelve weeks, by which time many conditions are starting to become chronic and other associated problems may start to develop.

The HSE reported in 2019 that 23.5 million working days were lost due to work related ill health in 2018/19 and that 1.4 million workers were suffering work related ill health. 6.9 million working days were lost in 2018/19 due to work related musculoskeletal disorders with upper limb/neck and back problems featuring most significantly.

12.8 million working days were reportedly lost due to work related stress, depression and anxiety attributed to workload, lack of support, violence, threats or bullying and changes at work.
The annual cost of these factors to Britain is £15 Billion, and the biggest cost bearer is the individual, in terms of pain, grief, suffering.

Equinox service provision is designed to:
~ Reduce the incidence of presentism and reduce the risk of absenteeism
~ Get people back to work quickly
~ Keep people fit and well post therapeutic intervention.

The therapy service will also offer work based functional assessments and support.

Pop up Physio sessions on the company premises if appropriate.

A counselling service is available to help support work-based stress management strategies.

It is hoped that I would work closely with HR teams to offer bespoke services dependent on the business need. I would like to work in an objective way using sickness absence data etc to demonstrate effectiveness and value for money.
